Kupang - Pangdam IX/Udayana Major General TNI Harfendi, S.I.P., M.Sc., and TNI Commander Admiral TNI H. Yudo Margono, S.E., M.M., C.S.F.A., attended the 59th National Maritime Day (HMN) Peak Event at the Mako Lantamal VII Ceremonial Field in Kupang on Thursday (12/10).
After a short transit at Mako Lantamal VII/Kupang, the TNI Commander and his entourage headed to the event venue, where they were greeted by a marching band and Hantam dance performance. The event began with singing the songs Indonesia Raya and Maritime March, as well as showing the 59th HMN Commemoration Video in 2023.
Acting NTT Governor Ayodhia G.L. Kalake expressed his welcome and thanks for choosing Kupang City as the venue for the HMN in his speech. "Welcome to the invited guests, and on behalf of the people of NTT Province, we would like to thank you for choosing Kupang as the venue for this National Maritime Day event," he said.
On this occasion, in his remarks, the Indonesian Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, conveyed the Maritime Gross Domestic Product (GDP) book from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The event then continued with the handover of the Maritime GDP book by representatives of Central BPS to the Minister of Transportation.
This was followed by the presentation of awards to the four ministries and institutions, BUMN and Prospera, by the Minister of Transportation, the handing over of souvenirs from the Minister of Transportation to Pelindo, and thanks from the National Hero Family of Keumalahayati to the Minister of Transportation.
Present at the event were Danlanud Eltari Kupang, Danlantamal VII Kupang, NTT Regional Police Chief, NTT Province Forkompimda Elements, Main Officials at TNI Headquarters, Danrem 161/Wira Sakti, BUMN Officials, as well as other guests. (Pendam IX/Udy)
