Badung-After yesterday carrying out Tactical Floor Game (TFG) activities, today (Monday, October 9, 2023), TNI Commander Admiral TNI H. Yudo Margono, S.E., M.M., C.S.F.A., accompanied by Pangdam IX/Udayana Major General TNI Harfendi, S.I.P., M.Sc., as Commander of the Security Task Force (Dansatgas Pamwil), inspected the readiness of the venue for the 2023 AIS Forum Summit in the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) Nusa Dua Area, Badung Regency, Bali Province.
While at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), which is the main location for the AIS Summit, the review by the TNI Commander and National Police Chief began with a presentation by the Paspampres regarding the BNDCC location plan, as well as the readiness of the Eskot Team during evacuation if there was a security disturbance for the Heads of State or delegation while taking part in the 2023 AIS Forum Summit activities.
On this occasion, a simulation of welcoming VVIP guests and heads of state who will be welcomed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia was carried out starting from the front of the main entrance of BNDCC to the Nusa Dua Hall Building and continuing with checking the AIS Summit main event room, media center, lunch area, bilateral room, and press conference.
In order to reassure the security of state guests in the event of a security disturbance, an Escort simulation was also carried out when evacuating AIS Summit participants during a security disturbance, whether from terror threats or natural disasters.
Meanwhile, while carrying out an inspection at the Bali International Convention Center (BICC), The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, which is the location for the AIS Summit Gala Dinner, the group was welcomed by the hotel management and continued with a presentation from Lt. Col. Pas Edi Gunawan regarding security at the BICC Gala Dinner venue, as well as Ring II and Ring III, including their arrival routes.
Apart from inspecting the venue where the AIS Summit was held, the TNI Commander and National Police Chief also checked the Command Center and several TNI-Polri Command Posts and TNI Bais Command Posts. So far, it is certain that security preparations for the 2023 AIS Forum Summit, which will be held from October 10 to 11, have been completed. Under the command of Pangdam IX/Udayana, all Pamwil Task Force personnel have also begun to play their roles and occupy their respective positions.
Those present at the inspection included the National Police Chief, Pangkogabwilhan II, Kabaharkam Polri, Bali Regional Police Chief, Deputy III BIN, main officials from TNI Headquarters and Police Headquarters, as well as representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of Maritime Affairs and ITDC.
